Borders are added but…

….I didn’t trim anything so I can still change the inner border:

?? inner border quandry

So? I kind of like it but am still bothered with the inner border and NO ONE has weighed in :(….please do.

Today is Monday and it will be my day off from work, just until the beginning of March, so I hope to spend a portion of the day quilting or stitching or being creative! 🙂

  1. Hi Peggy! Have you decided what to do? If YOU are not content with the purple border – change it to comething else…. I know how that “feeling” is; we feel it doesn’t really fit, but are not sure what to put there instead… I like it as it is – love the way you have made it! It’s all about taste! Try to put the other fabrics – possibilities – around the inner square, so that you hide the purple one – then you’ll see what fits better. View it for some days from a distance… Ask your DH his opinion! My experience is my DH see colors different, and often to the better! 🙂 Good luck Peggy!
OOOOH, as many 2010-to-do’s as me! LOL!

  2. Hi Peg
You know, yesterday I wasn’t sure but today I am liking it. I have also learned that the quilting can have a big influence. If you were to quilt that inner border kind of closely with thread a shade darker than that purple, it might tone it down a bit but you would still have that great pop the inner border brings. Just my 2 cents worth!

  3. I like it, but I think it is important that you like it yourself. If you want a more “quiet” impression maybe the dark blue will not make such much contast. I love that fabric with the houses !
You asked about how to be follower of my blog, I am not sure, but maybe the follower button only works for blogspot- blogs?
    have a nice day!

  4. Oh, btw, I kind of like the purple border. I love to have just a touch of something a little unexpected in my quilts, but it’s a matter of personal style, I guess!

  5. The purple looks bright against the background but ties in the colour from the main part of the quilt. I’m half and half (I know, that doesn’t help!!) BTW, do you need some crochet patterns?
