I cut up the blues from my stash into the blocks then I traced my circles and squares for the embroidery:
Notice my three templates? Instead of tracing on Mylar plastic and having difficulty with unevenness, I found the correct sizes with that margarine container, turned upside down and marked into quarters. Then there is the smaller circle of which I have a kit of various sizes. The square gives me my perfect 2 inches by using the middle as the guide. So happy with my consistency!
I have however, hit a roadblock. I realized that I don’t have the dmc floss that I want so…I will get my hexagons done and maybe start prepping the applique this week, until I get to the needlework store.
